One thing I learned today from this thread by plucky.
If you delete files on the USB stick,always remember to empty the wastebasket before un-mounting the stick so the empty space will be recovered.
Since I am wondering that I already removed so many files but still ubuntu shows "same" available free space.
/dev/sdb1 31250016 30765264 484752 99% /media/uncu8bunsu/B7BE-8601
Then after emptying the trash bin:
/dev/sdb1 31250016 23117872 8132144 74% /media/uncu8bunsu/B7BE-8601
Sigh ... what a relieve, thanks !
